About the Driving Theory Test

The Driving Theory Test checks your command of traffic rules and regulations, road signs, familiarity with the vehicle, and safe and correct behaviour on the road. It is advisable to pass the theory test before or at the same time as you start driving lessons.
The theory test's format is aimed at making things easier for examinees as well as to significantly improve the Ministry's level of service. The test questions were prepared in a clear, convenient and easy-to-understand way. Many of the questions are accompanied by images, illustrations and traffic signs, in order to help the examinees to understand the questions and to prevent unnecessary mistakes.
The "Traffic Signs Q&A" are based on signs taken from the Traffic Signs Manual published by the Ministry of Transport and Road Safety.
In order to prevent fraud, the advanced computers used to administer the online driving theory test are equipped with digital cameras that identify and photograph the examinees.

The theory test is made up of 30 mandatory multiple-choice questions.
These questions are selected from a bank of more than 1,800 questions. Each question has 4 optional answers, only one of which is correct. In order to successfully pass the test, you must answer correctly at least 26 questions.
